After more than 3 hours at the border we arrived in Minsk with about 180 km
typical range left (we charged to 98% in Vilnius) and around 04:00 in the
morning in our hotel which was 50 EUR. Border: Tons of documents and sooo
slow processing. Anyway, afterwards we had to get some kind of pre-paid
highway toll system, a small device installed in our car and it beeps all
the time when we pass certain checkpoints. Past the border towards Minsk we
drove through so much fog, dead silence, no lights anywhere. Scary! Anyway,
being dead tired we paid another 25 EUR so that we could use the room all
day and sleep longer than 12:00 (checkout time).
Tesla goes East - from Germany to Russia by electric car (well, at least we will give it a try! :-) ). As usual, with live GPS tracking and hopefully more often than not, live video streaming. In July 2015 I made my drivers license - motivated by Model S and Bjørn's videos - just to be able to drive an electric car. Since I got my MS in 08/2015 I have driven 66k km thanks to SuCs. But Supercharging gets boring, so we gotta try something more exciting. Let's try to find red plugs in the East...
Live tracking
Click on the marker to see our current speed, altitude etc. Updates automatically approx. every 60 seconds. If you click anywhere on the driven track (blue) and then show track profile you can see the elevation and velocity profile of the last hours/days.
